Sandbox Organics is a certified Organic farm selling a wide variety of high-quality, locally grown produce for the Chicagoland area through it’s CSA and the Logan Square Farmer’s Market. After spending a few years working on different farms around the country, I decided to bring my new-found skills and passion back home to Chicago. If there are three things I love, they are growing food, my hometown, and family. Sandbox Organics was my way of bringing them all together. The goal was to grow enough vegetables in the family’s 400 square foot backyard (where my brothers and I grew up playing in the sandbox) to support a small CSA, while engaging the community through workshops and volunteer days. Today I’m happy for the opportunity to share the seasons bounty with the greater Chicagoland community. Everything at the farm, now located at the Farm Business Development Center at the Prairie Crossing Farm in Grayslake IL, is grown with sustainable practices, and delivered fresh to the city for you to enjoy.
